The
Gallery

The unavoidable space for contemporary art photography.

Located in the center of Ghent, it offers all photographers the possibility of expression. The ability to pool the best humanity has to offer.

An intimate place for meeting and discussion.

Dirk
Demulder

I studied photography at the Academy of Visual Arts in Ghent.

I was only twelve years old when I saw The napalm girl, by Nick Ut.

This photograph of a nine-year-old girl mutilated by a napalm bomb from the South-Vietnamese army changed my life.

An image can synthesize historical drama and fundamental emotions in such an overwhelming way. A passion was born, which will never leave me.

Fifty years later, today, Otto Gallery emerges. A new place in Ghent dedicated to photography.
